  • Monty Tech’s counseling staff works collectively to support students in all aspects of their educational experience.  

    Individual and group counseling techniques are used to address a variety of student needs.

    • Grade 9 students work with one of two Freshmen School Counselors, assigned alphabetically.  
    • Grades 10-12 students work with one of four upperclassmen School Counselors, assigned by vocational trade.
    • Our school Social Worker and School Adjustment Counselor consult with appropriate staff regarding individual student cases and their needs. 

    The School Counseling Department has transitioned from Naviance to SCOIR as our Career and College Planning Portal effective with the 2020-2021 school year.  All students and parents/guardians (who have registered emails with Monty Tech) in the Class of 2021 have been invited to have access to SCOIR and create their accounts. If you are a member or parent/guardian of a student that is a member of the Class of 2021 and have not activated your account, please contact your student’s School Counselor. 

    As our department works to fully implement SCOIR, students and parents/guardians of the classes of 2022, 2023 and 2024 will be invited to have access to this portal which we use to communicate upcoming events, important information from our department and collaborate on students’ future career and college plans.  Please check SCOIR regularly for time sensitive opportunities and announcements regarding post-secondary planning for students.
